Applications are invited for a Casual Senior Leader in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department.  The Senior Leader will be responsible for planning, developing, promoting, implementing, executing, and evaluating week-long, theme related day camps for children.  The assignment is from June 25, 2012 to August 31, 2012.  
 
RATE OF PAY:          Senior Leader:  $20.02 to $20.22 (2011 C.U.P.E. rates)

HOURS OF WORK:     Up to 40 hours per week
                               The programs run Monday to Friday
                               Start and end times depend on programming, for example: 
                               7:15 am to 3:15 pm, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Casual employees are paid 12% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.

These positions are funded through the Canada Summer Grant Program which requires registration as a full-time student in the previous academic year, intention to return to school on a full-time basis the next academic year, 15 to 30 years of age, and legal entitlement to work in Canada.  Enrollment in a child related program or completion of a similar program is preferred. A valid Standard First Aid Certificate is required.  Details of the position and its requirements can be found in the job description.

Applications are invited for a Casual Recreation Worker II (Photography Instructor) in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department.  The successful applicant will be responsible for planning activities, setting up equipment and supplies, supervising participants, and providing information related to photography. 

RATE OF PAY:         Recreation Worker II:  $16.49 to $17.90 (2011 C.U.P.E. rates)

HOURS OF WORK:   Up to 5 hours per week, Monday through Sunday.
                              Days, start and end times depend upon programming.

Casual employees are paid 12% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.

Candidates should have strong class leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.  Additionally, applicants will have proven experience and ability in planning and delivering photography lessons.  Details of the position and its requirements can be found in the job description.
