Langley City's vision remains unchanged as “The Place to Be”, but in 2017-2021 Strategic Plan, the City's new mission statement became ‘a vibrant, healthy and safe community’ which reflects Langley City's commitment to being a thriving community as we move into 2018 and beyond. As the mission statement outlines, the City of Langley has a number of public safety resources available to citizens including the Langley Fire Rescue Service, and two joint programs that service the City of Langley and the Township of Langley which are the Langley Emergency Program and the Langley RCMP.
