Applications are invited for the Regular Full-Time position of IT Support Technician to work in the IT Division of the Corporate Services Department.  Under the direction of the Manager of Information Services, the IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance to staff using the City’s network, computer workstations and phones.  The IT Support Technician also performs periodic and routine software installation and upgrades as well as the implementation of new equipment and systems.  Additionally the IT Support Technician monitors system functions to verify correct operations, detect errors and resolve problems. 

RATE OF PAY:                Pay Grade 22:  $31.68 to $33.42 per hour (2015 C.U.P.E. Rate)

HOURS OF WORK:        35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Completion of a technical diploma in Computing and Information Technology plus two years related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experienced is desired.   Microsoft Certifications such as Miscrosoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are an asset.  Additionally, training and/or experience with VoIP phone systems, cellular phones, other mobile communication devices, virtual servers, virtual private networks, Microsoft Exchange Servers, firewall systems and configuring switches is desirable. Applicants should have strong, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.  A Valid Class 5 drivers’ licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.  Details of the position and its requirements can be found in the job description.

Applications are invited for Casual Recreation Worker 5’s in the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department at the City of Langley.  We are looking for enthusiastic substitute fitness instructors for a variety of drop in fitness classes, weight room supervision and personal training.  The successful candidate will design and instruct safe, effective and appropriate fitness programs to meet the needs of different demographics and programs. Fitness classes will be developed to promote safety, fun, enthusiasm, strength and a healthy lifestyle.  

RATES OF PAY:         Recreation Worker 5:  $24.74- $28.87 (2015 C.U.P.E. Rates)   
        
HOURS OF WORK:    Up to 40 hours per week; Monday to Sunday. 
                                 *Hours of work will depend on operational needs.
  
Casual employees are paid 12% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.

BCRPA Group Fitness and current First Aid Certification are required.  BCRPA or equivalent Certification in Group Weight Room Training, Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, and Spin are desired.  Applicants should have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.  Details of the position and requirements can be found in the job description.
