This City of Langley project will provide bike lanes on 53 Avenue and 51B Avenue from 196 Street to 208 Street providing a main east-west cycling corridor that will connect to the cycling lanes on 203 Street and 208 Street.  Currently, 53 Avenue has two driving lanes and two parking lanes, and 51B Avenue has four travel lanes.  A recent traffic study determined that two travel lanes will provide adequate capacity along the whole corridor with the current traffic demands.

All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend one of the Neighbourhood meetings outlined below to view the plans for the corridor and provide feedback at the Engineering, Parks & Environment table after Mayor and Council’s presentation.
