Free Family Fun 'Country in the Park' Event

Langley, BC – The City of Langley’s beautiful Douglas Park and McBurney Plaza will be brought to life for the FREE 22nd Annual Community Day event on Saturday, June 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year’s ‘Country in the Park’ themed event will feature fantastic local entertainment and a delicious BBQ fundraiser in support of Douglas Park Community School (meal deals under $5). At the event, you can visit 20+ community service booths, and enjoy Kids Zone activities including face painting, games, balloon artists, bouncy castles and more. There will also be a Fire Rescue Kids Challenge, an Activity Zone including hamster ball races, 9-hole mini golf, Jacobs’s ladder, rock climbing wall, horsey hops and dunk tank (your chance to dunk an Al Anderson lifeguard!!). Pie eating contests will run every hour starting at 11:00 a.m. and cake walks will run every hour starting at 11:30 a.m. The Highland Games will again be a highlight for all ages and will include the annual Tug-O-War – come out and challenge your City Council.
