Every year British Columbia celebrates youth during BC Youth week from May 1st to 7th. The City of Langley joins in on this celebration by offering free and special activities and events during youth week! Youth in grades 6 to12 can try out new things, win prizes, hang out with friends and more! This year we have 5 awesome activities for youth. See below for information on each one. 

Mini Golf

Everyone loves a game of mini golf and we are bringing it to Timms Community Centre! Stop by during our Youth Night and try your hand to see how well you can complete this 9 hole mini golf course! 

Mini Golf is open to youth in grades 6 to12. There is no fee to play and registration is not required! Show up, play golf and hang out in the games room while you wait for your turn. 

To ensure all youth are able to participate, intakes will happen every hour. Youth will be permitted entry at 5pm, 6pm,7pm and 8pm. Youth may be asked to leave after their first hour to ensure all covid-19 safety protocols are observed regarding maximum number of participants.

Basketball Shooting Tournament

Compete for a trophy and bragging rights! Join us at Timms to see who has the best shot in our youth week basketball shooting tournament. 5 spots to shoot from, 3 shots per spot, whoever can make the most the quickest wins! 

Registration takes place at the door. Open to youth in grades 6 to 12. Divisions will be made depending on number of youth that register.

Spray Paint and Tie Dye with the Langley Youth Hub!

Ever wanted to spray paint but not get in trouble? We got the place for you during youth week! Join the city of Langley and the Langley Youth hub at Timms to create your own spray paint art and tie dye clothes! We will have someone to instruct you and different items to spray paint!  

This activity is open to youth in grades 6 to 12 at no cost. No registration required, just drop in and paint! 12 youth will be permitted at one time.

Youth Week Walkthrough Art Gallery

We know youth love to create and make art so we are celebrating young artists by hosting an art gallery to show their pieces! Anyone can come to Timms and see the amazing talent that youth in our community have.

No registration required and no fees to enter! The gallery is open to anyone.

Movie Night!

Timms is bringing the movie experience to you! Grab a comfy seat and enjoy the Timms big screen to watch a movie. Bring some snacks and it's just like the theatre!

Open to youth in grades 6 to 12. No fees to enter and no registration required. A maximum of 20 youth will be permitted.
