Admission Rates and Passes

You can register for programs in three ways:

1) Sign up online using RecConnect online registration system
2) Call us at 604-514-2940 or 604-514-2865
3) In-person at Timms Community Centre or Douglas Recreation Centre

Family is a combination of two adults maximum (e.g. parents, guardians, grandparents) with children under the age of 19 years, all of whom reside in the same household.
1 Year Pass - option to pay monthly on a credit card and may be put on hold one time for up to 2 months

Timms Community Centre admission passes can be used for Al Anderson Memorial Pool. The chart below applies to drop-in visits and members of the public who only use the pool.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We want you to enjoy your experience with us, however in the event that you need to request a refund, the following policies will apply. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing of a refund cheque. Payments made by debit, cash, cheque or credit card will be refunded by cheque or account credit.

Admission Passes

1-month, 3-month, 6-month, 1-Year, and Aquatic season passes are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
10 and 20 pass packages are non-refundable.
1 year passes may be temporarily suspended for up to two months. Please see staff for details.

Camps, Workshops, Out-Trips and Special Events

Due to the nature of these programs, if you need to cancel a registration please be sure to notify us 5 days before the start date of the program. If less than 5 days’ notice is given, a 50% refund will be issued. No refund will be given if notification is given on or after the start date of the program.

Cookie Monster Preschool

If you need to withdraw from Cookie Monster Preschool, we require 30 days' written notice. If we are given less than 30 days' written notice, one month's fee will be withheld in lieu of notice. Refunds do not include the registration fee.

Single Session/One Day Programs

If you need to withdraw from a single session/one day program, we require 2 days’ notice for a refund or a transfer into another program.

Registered programs including swimming lessons (not including Cookie Monster Preschool)

Unless otherwise specified, a full refund will be issued if you withdraw prior to the start of the first class. If you find that the class you registered for is not what you expected and you want to cancel, please make sure you call before the start of the third class and we will refund you for the remaining sessions. No refunds are given after the third class.

Program cancellations

Some programs are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Should we cancel a program, your preference of a full refund, credit on account, or enrollment in another available program will be made.

Financial Assistance Programs
Leisure Access Grant

The City of Langley believes that participation in recreation benefits all members of our community. If you are a low-income resident living in the City of Langley, you may qualify for the Leisure Access Program. This program offers access to recreation programs and services at a reduced cost.

Apply for the Leisure Access Program
Complete the Leisure Access Grant application form and submit it to one of our recreation facilities, or you can email it.

Make sure to attach the following documentation with your application as it cannot be processed without it.

  • proof of address (recent utility bill in the name of the applicant)
  • pay stub from your employer
  • Revenue Canada Notice of Assessment(s) for all income earners in the family

We will contact you within three weeks of your submission.

Eligibility
To qualify for the program, you must meet the Leisure Access Program income requirements. You do not qualify for the Leisure Access Grant Program if you are a temporary resident, including those on study and work permits.

Benefits
If your application is approved, each family member permanently living in the household will receive a discount (25%-75%) to cover the cost of either a City of Langley program or pass, or an aquatic pass to the indoor pools located in the area (this option is available to adults and seniors only).

KidSport Langley

KidSport Langley provides grants to help cover the cost of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Langley can play a season of sport.

The chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $300 per kid/year, for kids who live in Langley, or in one of the other communities KidSport serves.

Kids Up Front

Kids Up Front provides experiences to deserving children, youth and their families in the Greater Vancouver area. They believe that all kids should have access to enriching experiences like arts, culture and sporting events.   

As a partner in Kids Up Front, Langley City distributes tickets and passes to events such as hockey games, football games, theatre productions, concerts and more.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is committed to ensuring kids in need have equal access to sport and physical activity. This program helps financially disadvantaged children aged 4-18 years participate in organized sports and recreation activities such as hockey, dance, soccer and swimming so they can develop important life skills, self esteem and confidence.

Financial Requirements
To be eligible for funding for one or more children, families must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada's Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart. Jumpstart uses the further column to the right of the chart for eligibility.

Other Requirements

  • Children must be between the ages of 4 and 18 years old
  • Funding is allocated to sustained programs that involve a sport or physical activity
  • Programs should be a minimum of five weeks in duration and include at least one session per week. Sports camps must be at least five consecutive days to be considered.C

The Jumpstart Individual Child Grant application is an online application that a parent/guardian can use to submit a request for funding to Jumpstart on behalf of their child/children.
