City of Langley Celebrates Youth Week with Free Activities for Teens


Langley, BC – The City of Langley is inviting young people aged 12-17 to enjoy free activities April 29-May 5 in celebration of Youth Week. The annual event is designed to help build a strong connection between youth and their communities.

“Young people are an important part of the City of Langley and we want to showcase all the wonderful things they’re doing,” says Thomas Nyte, Youth Recreation Leader at the City of Langley. “This week is all about celebrating youth and bringing our community closer together.”

Events include an overnight kickoff party, a community walk, a Nerf gun battle, laser tag, lawn bowling, and an open mic night. Participation is free and open to all youth aged 12-17. More information about Youth Week is available at

Youth All-Nighter
When: Friday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m. – Saturday, April 30 at 8:00 a.m.
Where: Timms Community Centre (20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley)

Langley Walk (all ages)
When: Sunday, May 1 from 12:00–4:00 p.m
Where: Timms Community Centre (20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley)

Nerf Battle
When: Monday, May 2 from 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Laser Tag
When: Tuesday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m.
Where: Planet Lazer (20104 Logan Ave, Langley)

Lawn Bowling
When: Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30–8:00 p.m.
Where: Langley Lawn Bowling Club (20471 54 Ave, Langley)

Open Mic Night
When: Thursday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m.
