Programs Aim to Help Seniors Set and Meet Physical Activity Goals
Langley City, British Columbia – Timms Community Centre has partnered again with BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) and the University of British Columbia’s Active Aging Research Team to offer free fitness programs to Langley (65+) seniors interested in getting active and healthy.
“ActivAge and Choose to Move are fun, customizable fitness programs that enable participants to choose how they want to be active while offering support and guidance throughout the process,” said Christine Daum, Recreation Supervisor at Timms Community Centre. “Since 2016, we have had a lot of success with getting Langley seniors to continue with a healthier, more active lifestyle after each session. I strongly encourage anyone who is 65+ to register for one of these programs.”
