The City of Langley has contracted Jack Cewe Construction Ltd. to complete the Glover Road Utilities and Cycling Improvements project.
The work involves replacing a water main and sections of storm sewer as well as updating the existing traffic medians, adding cycling lanes, and repaving sections of the road between Fraser Highway and the Langley Bypass.
The work is scheduled to commence in mid-July and the anticipated to be completed in October 2021, weather permitting. Construction will take place between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, and traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction on occasion.
Motorists should anticipate delays and, where possible, should consider an alternate route. Langley City would also like to remind motorists to apply caution when driving through the construction zone, obey all construction signs and traffic control personnel. This project is funded in part by TransLink and the Government of Canada.
