Findings will help the City to plan for future needs of residents

Langley City, BC – The City of Langley has commissioned Ipsos, a professional public opinion research company, to conduct its 2019 Community Survey. The survey is conducted every three years to obtain residents’ feedback on municipal programs, services, and other important community issues and overall quality of life.

“Your input is important to us, and Ipsos and Langley City appreciate your participation in this research,” said Mayor van den Broek. “This survey will help us evaluate our current programs and policies, and to ensure our plans continue to be in line with the needs of our community. I strongly encourage you to take part and provide your feedback since the survey will assist the City in planning for the future to meet the needs of our residents.”

The random telephone survey of Langley City residents will take place between September 16 and 30, 2019. If you or anyone in your household receives a phone call from Ipsos, please take the time to complete the survey. Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential and will only be viewed in combination with other participating respondents. While the survey includes some basic demographic questions to ensure a representative sample and to assist with analysis, it does not collect any personal information that could be used to identify individual participants. Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential and will only be viewed in combination with other participating respondents.

If you don’t receive a phone call, you can still take part in the research by completing the online survey that will launch on the City’s website on September 18 and will remain open until September 30, 2019.

Your opinions are important, and Ipsos and the City of Langley appreciate your participation in this research. Community Survey results will be presented to Council in November and will be posted shortly after on the City’s website at www.langleycity.ca.
