Langley City, BC – Langley City is inviting residents to participate in the Canada 150 Mosaic project from May 1st-3rd at Timms Community Centre, Multi-Purpose Room 2, located at 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley.

Approximately 500 participants are needed to paint 4” x 4” tile to contribute to a mosaic mural in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. Every tile will contribute to the overall design and the 500 piece mosaic will be hung in City Hall as a historical legacy for the community. The mosaic will also be a part of a gigantic virtual mural that stretches across the country with 150 different murals from 150 different communities to connect via train and commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday.

“The City of Langley is proud to be one of the 150 communities across Canada who will be taking part of this inclusive, diverse, and inter-generational project in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday,” said Mayor Ted Schaffer, “I look forward to seeing what the muralist create to represent the City as this project will be a part of the City’s long-lasting legacy.”
