Bylaw 3224 - Road Closure Bylaw

Council adopted Bylaw No. 3224 which closes and removes the dedication of a portion of highway located between 20401-43 Fraser Highway and 20457 Fraser Highway.

2024 Schedule of Regular Council Meetings

Council approved the 2024 Schedule of Regular Council meetings as follows:

Regular Meetings of Council will be held in the Council Chambers, Langley City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley BC at 7:00 p.m., unless otherwise resolved by Council.

2024 Metro Vancouver Board of Director Appointments

Council made the following appointments to the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors:
THAT Councillor Paul Albrecht be appointed to the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors for 2024; and
THAT Councillor Rosemary Wallace be appointed as an alternate.
 

2024 Fraser Valley Regional Library Board Appointments

Council made the following appointments to the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board:
THAT Councillor Rosemary Wallace be appointed to the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board for 2024; and
THAT Councillor Paul Albrecht be appointed as an alternate.

Crime Prevention Committee Recommendations - Crime Prevention Mural

Council directed staff to investigate the viability and associated cost to implement a mural at:
Location 1: City Hall – NE Entrance wall and as an alternative,
Location 2: McBurney Plaza – SE wall (facing west) and potentially consider installation of a crime prevention vehicle wrap as outlined in the staff report.

Funding Request for Tenant Relocation Policy Update (Land Economist Consultant Work)

Council approved the allocation of $35,000 to retain a land economist consultant to support the Tenant Relocation Policy Update and directed that the $35,000 funding be allocated from the Enterprise Fund.
