Public Notice: 2024 Dog Licence Reminder

Date

Every Langley City dog over the age of 6 months must have a valid licence. As a pet owner, it's your responsibility to buy an annual dog licence per the City's Animal Control Bylaw, 2006, No. 2622.

The City provides a branded dog tag with a licence number, which must remain fastened to your pet's collar at all times. If your dog is found unlicenced, you'll be issued a ticket and potentially other penalties as described in the bylaw.

Langley City has a limit of 2 dogs per household. Proof of spaying or neutering is required.

Dog Licences are payable on January 31, 2024, of every year. Dog Licence Renewal Forms are mailed every year in December to owners of dogs on record and fees may be paid on or before February 1, 2024, at the lower rate. ALL FEES INCREASE EFFECTIVE February 2, 2024. Failure to obtain a dog licence is a contravention of the City of Langley Animal Control Bylaw, 2006, No. 2622.
