After consulting with City tourism accommodation service providers, Langley City Council concluded that it was in the best interest of the City’s tourism sector to select a new service provider.

Langley City and the Downtown Langley Business Association are partnering to host another exciting Downtown Initiative event this fall! Dueling Pianos in the Plaza will take place in McBurney Plaza on September 9th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The City has hired a contractor to replace a culvert through the BC Hydro right-of-way beside 53 Avenue which is part of the Baldi Creek system.

The City of Langley will be performing water main upgrade work at the Center of 200th to 50th East on August 24 and August 25 from 8:00am - 4:00pm. The Road Closure of 50 Avenue will allow for excavation and work to be completed.
The City's contractor Lafarge Canada, will be completing pavement rehabilitation starting August 12, 2017.
Public safety issues continue to be top of mind in our community. Like other communities in the region, the City faces challenges related to crime and homelessness. To help combat these issues, the City created the Crime Prevention Strategic Plan.
The new Lunch & Lounge pilot project is officially underway at McBurney Plaza! New tables, Adirondack chairs and a variety of fun programming is available at McBurney Plaza through to September 1.

The City is gathering resident input on the proposed design of traffic calming for Michaud Crescent and 201A Street around Linwood Park.
The City of Langley is undertaking a major refurbishment of the 200 Street Bridge crossing the Nicomekl River. The work is scheduled to commence early August 2017 and the anticipate completion date is fall 2017, weather permitting.
